Amy Groskropf presented a history of the 30 years of Special Collections.  Thirty years ago, Special Collections started in just one room, now it is the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center. It has grown because of hard work and diligence of the wonderful staff of the Special Collections staff (past and present), the Richardson-Sloane family, and the SCIGS volunteers.

We can always use more volunteers. If you can spend a few hours at the SC room, come on down and volunteer. There is always projects to work on. At present, SCIGS volunteers are indexing local newspapers, probate records, and civil war records. Our goal is to have these records searchable online and on computer at the SC room.
